Whether you’re an experienced horticulturist or just a beginner, orchids are a gardener’s dream flower. Their special shapes are quite intriguing. And while our interiors can host exotic orchid varieties, others embellish wild meadows and forest edges! There are many terrestrial orchids in Europe, and today new multiplication techniques allow these surprising flowers to be planted in your garden.

These garden orchids alternate cycles of dormancy (winter) and cycles of growth and flowering (late spring or summer). Over the years and successive cycles, perennial orchids grow strong and multiply thanks to the progressive development of underground rhizomes or tubers.

However, since the growth of orchids is often quite slow, it usually takes 2 to 3 years to obtain large flowerbeds, which can carry up to 10 or 20 flower stems.

Two new Duo Packs

Duo Pack Bletilla striata 'Blue': The blue hyacinth orchid is a new selection of perennial orchid. Easy to grow, in all gardens, at the end of spring it produces stems of about 40 to 50 cm adorned with multiple small flowers in a blue lavender color.

Duo Pack Dactylohiza purpurella: In full bloom, this plant can reach a size of 50 to 80 cm and the imposing floral stem often reaches more than 30 cm. This beautiful orchid carries very vivid purple flowers.
